Julien Barc, MS, PhD student, (Nantes) works on genetic of cardiac arrhythmia leading to SCD as Brugada syndrome, Long QT syndrome and early repolarisation syndrome by familial and CNV approaches.
Andreas Barth, MD, (Hopkins) works on basic mechanisms underlying the effects of genetic variants on cardiac electrophysiology.
François Briec, MD, PhD student, (Nantes) works on FASTER: France Atlantic Sudden Death Epidemiologic Registry. A DNA collection is currently under process in order to carry out a genome wide association study. The goal of the study is to identify the DNA variations associated with the risk of sudden cardiac death.
Stéphanie Chatel, MS, PhD student, (Nantes) wworks on genetic of cardiac arrhythmia leading to sudden cardiac death as Brugada syndrome and early repolarisation syndrome by candidate gene and familial approaches.
Kuan-Cheng Chang, MD, (Hopkins) completed visiting research associate program and returned to a Position as Assistant Professor in Taiwan). Dr. Chang worked on NOS1AP signaling.
Ronald Faugue, MS, (Graduate student, Miami), Dalia Gamal El-Imam, MD (Graduate student, Miami), Taifang Zhang, PhD (Post-doctoral fellow, Miami), Daniela Neagu, MD (Post-doctoral fellow, Miami) work on the Miami Medical Examiner database.
Joachim Hogenhuis, PhD, (Amsterdam) works on the COACH study.
Daniel Judge, MD, (Hopkins) works in cardiovascular genomic medicine projects.
Carol Ann Remme, MD, PhD, (Amsterdam) is involved in identification of modifier genes for cardiac electrical phenotypes and sudden cardiac death through the study of different inbred strains of mice displaying different severity of cardiac sodium-channel disease.
Moritz Sinner, MD, (Munich) helped with design and day-to-day execution of the Golden Gate assay. Is involved in evaluating the association of SNPs in the Golden Gate assay with specific quantitative traits of the ECG in the KORA population. Is organizing a comparative study on ECG analysis in KCNH2 mutation carriers collected by members of the network.
Ioannis Terrotitis, MD, (Hopkins) worked on the cellular biology of Capon.
Hiroshi Watanabe, MD, (Vanderbilt) works on sodium channel protein partners and their role in modulating SCD risk.
